I've also reset (deleted my Outlook profile, create new) same problem.Īny ideas. I definitely have the host names and ports set correctly for Charter SMTP server (tried both 465 and 587, even though Charter says it's 587). At first I thought it was a Mac issue with SMTP and it also now does not seem like an ISP issue because I can send outgoing via Charter SMTP from my Windows on the same home network as well. The strange thing is that webmail at Charter's site works fine, I can receive all outbound mail from the webmail app. I have 3 accounts setup in Outlook Charter (2) and 1 Google Mail and gmail goes through fine. I made no big changes, I work in IT, so I am careful about that. Can't figure out what could have changed. I've been having SMTP failures on emails sent from my mac from both Outlook 2016 and the Mac Mal app (only in last couple weeks).
